WELLESLEY, Mass. - The Smith College cross country team placed third overall at the 2021 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships, hosted at Wellesley's Nehoiden Golf Club on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers' third-place finish marks the highest finish for the program at the NEWMAC Championship meet dating back to the 2012 season. Leading Smith was the duo of Laurel Kruger (Denver, CO/Denver East) and Pria Parker (Hingham, MA/Hingham), who finished fifth and seventh, respectively to earn All-Conference recognition.
